Town Center Park at Ocean Isle Beach hosts activities, events, and summer concerts making it a definite stop on every visitor’s itinerary. Town Center Park is a central gathering space at Ocean Isle Beach, with a mix of open green space, community events, and recreational amenities. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or spending a season on the island, the park provides an easy place to relax, meet up, and spend quality time outdoors.
Summer Concert Series
One of the main highlights of Town Center Park is the Peggy Hughes Summer Concert Series. The 2026 series includes weekly live music, typically on Fridays, with some adjustments around holiday weekends. Concerts begin at 6:30 PM. Guests may begin setting up chairs at 4:00 PM. Please note that pets are not allowed during concerts.

The park is well-suited for casual outings. The open green space makes it easy to spread out with a blanket, meet up with friends, or spend time with family. It is a flexible setting that works for both quiet visits and small group gatherings. Basketball, a playground, the splash pad, and a 9/11 memorial garden area are all right there.
If you’re planning something more organized, the picnic shelter can be reserved. There are two sections (A and B), each with four picnic tables. Rentals are limited to four-hour time slots and must be reserved by someone 18 or older who remains present during the reservation. Availability can be limited during peak times, and the shelters are not available during concerts or town-sponsored events. Plan ahead and this may be a great way to enhance your special gathering.
To keep the park enjoyable for everyone, a few key guidelines are in place. Children should be supervised, and pets must remain on a leash. The park is designed as a walkable, shared space, so activities like biking and skateboarding are not permitted within the grounds. Visitors are encouraged to keep the area clean and use designated trash containers. Park hours are 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM in the summer and 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM in the off-season.
